Production Music Services at Core Zero Studio

I've Been Doing This Long Enough to Know that the right music in a project doesn't just sit there. It actively works for you. It creates connection. Something feels intentional, and your audience might not be able to name it, but they feel it. Good production music pulls people deeper into the experience without them ever realizing it's happening. That's what we're going for. Every time.

Core Zero Studio is a Full Production Music Studio out of Hebron, Maine, and production music is one of the things I genuinely love creating. The puzzle is different every time. You've got a scene, a brand, a moment, and your job is to figure out what it's actually saying and then build sound around that. When it clicks, it's one of the more satisfying things we can do in composition.

I Don't Do Stock Tracks. I know that's not a revolutionary statement, but it matters more than people think. Stock music has its place, but if you want something that truly fits your project, something that breathes with your pacing and hits where your visuals hit, it needs to be written for you. Custom composition takes more time and investment, but the difference in the final product is audible. Every time.

For Filmmakers and Game Developers, the work usually starts with timing. I'll sit with your footage, watch it a few dozen times taking notes on the various sections and transitions, and start feeling out where the music needs to breathe, and where it needs to push. Tension isn't just about adding strings and building volume. It's about restraint and release, about knowing when silence does more work than any instrument would. We work through scene transitions, thematic development, the moments where dialogue needs room, and the moments where the score needs to take over. It's a back-and-forth process, and I'd rather spend an extra session getting it right than hand you something that almost works.

Podcast and YouTube Content is a Different Kind of Challenge, but one I take just as seriously. An intro or outro might be eight seconds long. A stinger might be two. But those little pieces carry a lot of weight. They're what make your content feel like a real production. Done right, they build brand recognition over time. People start to associate that sound with you before they've even consciously processed it. That's the goal.

For Commercial and Advertising Work, the priorities shift a bit. You're usually balancing memorability with restraint, music that's distinctive enough to stick but not so busy that it competes with your message. I spend a lot of time in this space thinking about where the music sits under dialogue, how it moves in and out, and what emotional register actually matches what the brand is trying to communicate. Getting that balance right is where the real craft lives.

The Workflow Here is Straightforward. We talk first... about the project, what you're trying to accomplish, and who your audience is. I ask a lot of questions. Then I build out some initial concepts and we go from there. Feedback is part of the process, not an inconvenience. I'd rather you be honest in round two than politely accept something that isn't quite right.

On the Technical Side, everything that leaves this studio is mixed and mastered to proper standards. That means you're getting files that are balanced, clean, and ready for wherever they're going, whether that's streaming, broadcast, social, or film distribution. You're not getting a rough bounce and calling it done. You're getting a finished quality product.

Production Music, at its Best, is Invisible. It makes your project feel inevitable, like the music was always supposed to be there. That's what I'm building every time I sit down to work on one.

  Let's create something together!
